We believe that no matter what your mood, your spirits can be uplifted by changing your space and environment. As a Canadian-owned company, we know how long and gloomy the winter months can seem. Pampas Gal was founded upon wanting to bring this beautiful, luscious, and cheerful dried grass into Canadian homes who love the heat, sunshine, and summer months as much as we do. The Pampas Grass uplifts spirits and gives any space a carefree, happy, and relaxed atmosphere. With dried pampas grass, you can bring the warm Bohemian energy into the home even through the harshest of winters.

Where is pampas grass grown?
Pampas Grass is native to southern South America, hailing from the Pampas region (hence its name). It was planted in Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand in the ’70s primarily as an ornamental grass to be harvest and used for decorative purposes once dried — and we have seen a huge resurgence in its popularity over the past couple of years! Pampas Grass blooms from September until February, although it is generally available year-round.
How is pampas grass used?
Pampas Grass is so versatile. We have styled it in so many different ways, different color themes, different vases, and in all rooms of the house! It's up to your creativity and imagination on how and where to style it! Many people use it in their homes as decor but there has been a huge trend in pampas grass used in weddings, photography, and interior designed homes.

We love mixing our Pampas Grass with art! The grass is so versatile and can look so different depending on the kind of art that it is placed with. It can really accentuate the art in the room and make it more of an eye-catching display.
We love the look of mixing up dried Pampas Grass with other living plants. Make your dining table stand out by using pampas grass as a centerpiece. It adds that extra luxurious feeling to any room. I also spend a lot of time in the kitchen as I love to cook so having the kitchen feel homier and nicely decorated with pampas grass ties every part of my home together.

I personally love styling up rooms that you wouldn’t usually associate with accessorizing with plants and flowers; such as kitchens and bathrooms. It adds a more homely feel to the rooms and makes the space feel more calm and serene. I especially enjoy relaxing in the tub with an Alpine Ember Co. candle (local Edmonton candle company) and the Pampas in view. For me, that’s instant relaxation!
Pampas grass can be used in weddings.
Pampas Grass isn’t just an accessory for the home. It is becoming extremely popular for weddings and other celebrations. Due to its versatility, it can go with practically any party theme and the elegance that the grass adds to a wedding is just simply divine. Pampas grass can be incorporated into decorations down the aisle, arbors (wedding-arc), centerpieces or addition to bouquets, Pampas Grass adds that little extra special touch of elegance.

How to care for dried pampas grass:
Unlike fresh flower arrangements, Pampas Grass requires very little to no maintenance once the plumes are conditioned!
Here are our expert tips to maximize the life of your gorgeous Pampas Grass:-
- Upon opening your Pampas Grass for the first time, give each reed a good shake, allowing any excess plume shedding to occur.
- Let them sit either in the sun or next to a window for 20 minutes. This will allow the pampas plume to breathe and expand.
- Use a pair of shears or scissors to trim the stems to the desired height for your vase or arrangement.
- Arrange the Pampas Grass reeds in your vase, delicately styling the plume until you’ve achieved the desired effect.
- Once you’ve styled each plume to perfection, grab some hairspray and give them a generous misting. This will ensure that your plumes stay locked and will minimize any shedding that may occur. Do this once every 6 months as needed. They can last up to 5 years.
I’ve had so much fun playing with and experimenting with our Pampas Grass. I love the look it can achieve in a room or the extra special elegance that it adds to any kind of display. I do hope that you get the same enjoyment out of your Pampas Grass for many months, if not years to come!
